Privacy

This policy explains how Slope Hi-Fi and this website handle information. Slope doesn't require an account, shows no ads and doesn't track the people who use it.

Information Slope uses

Microphone audio. When you start a measurement and allow microphone access, Slope records audio only for the duration of the sweep and analyzes it on your device. Neither the audio nor the results are sent to the developer.

Saved measurements. They can contain response curves, measurement settings, dates, the names you choose and optional placement or room-layout information. They are stored in the app's data on your device.

Optional iCloud sync. If you turn it on, your measurements are saved in Slope's folder in your iCloud account, so they appear on your other devices signed in to the same account. Apple stores and transfers them under its own terms; the developer has no access to your iCloud account or to these files.

Files you import or share. If you use the iOS file picker or share sheet, Slope processes only the document you choose for that action.

Tips. Optional tips are processed by Apple through the App Store. Slope receives only the result of the transaction, never your payment details or Apple Account password.

Support email. If you write to giottinodev@protonmail.me, the developer receives your address, your message and any attachments.

What Slope doesn't do

Slope runs no accounts, advertising, analytics, tracking, or developer server or database. It doesn't ask for access to contacts, photos, location or health data. The microphone is used only during a measurement, never in the background.

How information is used

To run measurements, analyze them and show the results, save and sync your Library, import or export documents at your request, complete tips and answer support requests. Information is not sold, nor used for profiling or advertising.

Storage and deletion

Measurements stay on your device, and in iCloud if you turned on sync, until you delete them in Slope or delete the app. With sync on, deleting a measurement also removes it from your other devices. iOS backups may keep app data according to your settings. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to answer and handle the request.

Your choices and rights

You can deny or revoke microphone access in iOS Settings; without it, measurements can't run. You can turn off iCloud sync in Slope and delete measurements in the app. Depending on applicable law, you can request access to, correction or deletion of data in support correspondence by writing to giottinodev@protonmail.me.

This website

The Slope website uses no cookies, analytics or advertising and loads no content from third parties. It remembers the language you choose in your browser's local storage, which stays on your device. The service hosting the site may process technical data, such as your IP address, to deliver the pages.

Children

Slope is not directed to children, and the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

This policy may be updated if the way Slope handles information changes. The date at the top shows the version in effect.
